October catch up
We've been busy at the Garden lately...
Painting the cabin...
Visiting the East Kent Ploughing match...
And then there was the late summer open day...
Teas...
Coffees...
Woodworking...
Livestock...
Music...
And lots of people - a good time was had by all.

A September Poem
September's turning cool; the summers done.
A penny for the time the sun has shone.
The people keep on coming through the gate-
The trees discard their twigs on the estate.
(Some windy weather gusting in the leaves)
The Thanet fields disgorging all their sheaves-
With veg'tables and fruit the season's full,
And Winter 'round the corner - feel the pull.
The temp'rature has dropped within a week-
There's no doubt that the warmth is past its peak

August - some rhyming couplets
August! A time to catch the baby snail
Before he has a chance to leave a trail
of holes in leaves, and climbing up the wall,
He makes a getaway before the Fall.
It's June that is the mating time for these -
And broken stems - for them the size of trees
So - what we need - the beak of Mister Thrush
Who with his rhythmic tapping breaks the hush,
So meantime Ben and Keith can take their pick
Removing them from site, complete the Trick.
