New Year, New Poem...

Increasing slightly - January light -
A herald of the new and waxing year.
The temperatures -unseasonable height -
With Sun and Rain relieving murky drear.
We humans need some burning to be near.
So, in the Garden, leaves are cleared away
And trees await a freeze by light of day.

Decembrrrr...

And sometimes in December when it's still
Diluted sunshine renders landscape gold
In Summer Mother Nature drank her fill
But now she must receive the piercing cold
The birds retrieving berries if they're bold
The squirrels must recall their hidden seeds
While everyone around performing deeds.

November

November is the time when leaves are thick
Upon the ground, around the parks and grass;
The longer-lived perform their colour trick,
The branches of some others remain sparse.
The Southern winds in course of time will pass -
And what about the arctic blasts in store?
Despite the depths of gloom - please give us more!

Garden Gate Bicycle Club

We've seen lots of interesting bikes and cyclists at The Garden over the past year...

We always encourage cycling, so we look forward to seeing more of you on your bikes soon. Remember, it's never too cold...
